Papa Mike’s Café is a no-cost, full-service restaurant serving three made-to-order meals for anyone in need in our community. At Papa Mike’s Café, we are on a mission to offer more than just meals; we are dedicated to providing a restaurant-style experience for all individuals in our community. With a warm ambiance and attentive service, our goal is to make every visitor feel at home.
Papa Mike’s Café was inspired in 2006. The concept was to provide a special 3-course meal to clients, one meal a month, complete with menus and servers. Volunteers who were waiters and waitresses took the guest's orders and served them. Poverello House CEO, Zack Darrah, expanded this concept to provide a daily restaurant experience. This achievement was made possible through extensive planning meetings and a comprehensive renovation of our kitchen, generously supported by the County of Fresno. Additional gratitude goes to the St. Augustine Foundation, Isnardi Foundation, Rotary Club of Fresno, and the entire community, whose contributions played a crucial role in bringing this project to fruition.
Papa Mike’s Café Operating Hours:
Monday-Friday:
Breakfast: 7:00 am – 10:00 am.
Lunch/Dinner: 11:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Saturday-Sunday:
Brunch: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Papa Mike’s Pizzeria: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
